Message from Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

Ladies and Gentlemen,

My Young Friends,

I would like to extend to you my heartiest felicitations on the occasion of the 2nd Annual Forum of Global Young Leader’s Dialogue. I would also like to appreciate the Forum’s efforts for bringing the youth together and encouraging dialogue amongst them on important contemporary issues.

The strength and vitality of a nation rests in its young leaders. The young people are the agents of change. Blessed with unlimited curiosity and innovative genius, they have the will and confidence to take on the challenges with resolve and determination to transform their societies and world at large.

In a world faced with diverse challenges, ranging from climate change and pandemic to growing inequalities and poverty, the need for fostering a spirit of dialogue amongst the world youth has gained utmost urgency.

Pakistan is one of the youngest countries in the world with 64% of its total population below the age of 30. Our youth plays a key role in the nation-building process and is taking forward the people towards progress and prosperity.

I call upon the participants of today’s dialogue to promote understanding amongst different cultures and civilizations and play a constructive role in promoting peace and amity amongst peoples and across nations.

I am confident that that our young leaders would embrace the fresh breeze of new ideas and initiatives to promote inter-cultural dialogue and understanding. This is the trust that history has placed on them!
